Gogoro, the Taiwan-based electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, is all set to launch its highly anticipated CrossOver electric scooter to the Indian market. Slated to announce prices on December 12, 2023, this EV model marks Gogoro’s debut in the two-wheeler segment in India. Designed to handle all types of terrain, the CrossOver aims to revolutionize the concept of electric scooters, especially in the Indian Market. 

Look & Design 


Known as the “two-wheeled SUV,” the Gogoro CrossOver boasts a sturdy and practical appearance. Its rugged features include 12-inch wheels adorned with Maxxis dual-purpose tires, fork gaiters on the front suspension, split-type seats, and an extended LED headlight with a load-bearing shroud. Additionally, the scooter includes built-in cargo compartments and a unique folding pillion seat that can double as a backrest, providing even more storage space. Riders have the option to customize their CrossOver with top cases, panniers, and front and rear luggage racks.

Performance and Durability


Constructed with a new steel tubular frame that enhances body rigidity and storage options, the CrossOver is equipped with a telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties are efficiently managed by a 220mm disc at the front and a 180mm disc at the rear, providing riders with optimal control.


The Gogoro CrossOver comes with two easily interchangeable battery packs, each weighing over 10 kilograms. These batteries can be conveniently swapped and recharged at designated battery-swapping stations. The electric scooter is powered by a 7.6kW electric motor, providing impressive performance. While the riding range and charging time have not been disclosed yet, the global version features a 9bhp liquid-cooled motor with peak torque reaching 27Nm, offering a thrilling riding experience.

Perfectly Balanced 

With a kerb weight of 126 kilograms, including batteries, the CrossOver strikes a harmonious balance between weight and agility. It stands tall with a commendable ground clearance of 142mm. The exact wheelbase measurement is yet to be revealed, but it is expected to surpass 1,400mm, ensuring stability and maneuverability on all terrains.



The Gogoro CrossOver impresses with its array of cutting-edge features, including a vibrant color display with seamless smartphone connectivity. This feature-rich display showcases essential ride-related information. The scooter also comes equipped with standard traction control, ensuring a safe and stable journey.
